Shahdin’s focus is estate litigation, including dispute resolution, contentious passing of accounts, undue influence and incapacity matters and wills variation matters, estate planning, and estate administration, including rectification of will applications.

Education and Experience
Prior to joining the firm she articled and practiced at a national firm primarily in commercial and civil litigation. She has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia. Shahdin served as a judicial law clerk to six judges at the BC Supreme Court from 2015 to 2016. She obtained her Master’s degree in Public Policy from Simon Fraser University and her law degree from the University of Ottawa with cum laude honours.


Personal Life and Community Involvement
Shahdin is the author of the chapter on Passing of Accounts and Trustee Remuneration Disputes in the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC’s publication entitled, Estates Disputes in British Columbia: A Litigator’s Guide. Shahdin is a member of the CBA BC Wills & Estates Section, the Kelowna Estate Planning Society, and Kelowna Women in Business. She volunteers with Big Sisters Big Brothers of Central and Southern Interior of BC. Shahdin is fluent in Farsi, and conversant in Finnish and French.
